Why do my fingers

Author: admin

What you may have is carpal tunnel syndrome. The carpal tunnel is that part of the wrist just before the palm (with the palms up). Inside this tunnel passes several structures, the most prominent of which is the median nerve, which supplies sensation and movement to most of the palmar side of the hand. When you’re typing or moving the mouse, that particular part of the wrist is resting on the table top. Prolonged use of the computer compresses the carpal tunnel, hence impinging on the median nerve. Prolonged and chronic impingement leads to some sort of scarring in the carpal tunnel, impinging further on the nerve. If this continues, the nerve gets hurt. When a nerve gets injured, it fails to transmit nerve signals to and from the hand. That's why your hand and fingers get numb. I would advise relaxing your hand and not using the personal for too long. Or get one of those keyboards designed specifically to more or less prevent this condition.

Answer:
If your index, middle, half of your ring, and all of your pinky fingers are numb, it's carpal tunnel syndrome.
