Basically, I feel like crap.
Does anyone know how to recover?
Answer:
For a sore throat drink plenty of Vitamin C, and Green Tea with honey and lemon. For a stiff neck, I’ve used Vic's Vapor Rub before and it has done wonders! Just make sure you don't use too much of the stufff because it can cause burning of the skin. If that doesn't do the trick, then go to your physician, tell him/her what the problem is, and he/she should be able to prescribe some sort of muscle relaxer.
Answer:
It's appropriate if streptococcal bacteria are causing the soreness. You probably have strep if your throat is deep red with white patches, you’ve a fever that started suddenly, and the lymph nodes in your neck are painfully enlarged. If the infection isn't causing major discomfort and doesn't seem to be serious, wait for your physician to confirm strep throat by taking a throat culture. But antibiotics won't help and might harm if a virus is the culprit. That's likely if you’ve other cold or flu symptoms such as a stuffy or runny nose or sneezing. While viral infection generally resolve on their own, see your physician if the soreness lasts more than three days. If you experience extreme fatigue, difficulty opening your mouth, or severe difficulty swallowing, seek help immediately; you may have an abscess. Whatever the cause, you can soothe your throat by sucking on cough drops, gargling with warm saltwater, eating ice cream or ice pops, drinking lots of fluids, humidifying dry air, and using throat sprays containing dyclonine (Cepacol Maximum Strength Sore Throat Spray, Sucrets Throat Spray) or phenol (Cheracol Sore Throat Spray). And good luck.

in my country, when we have a sore throat or a stiff neck, we stick our head in the freezer for about 5 minutes, and then boil some water and pour it on our neck.

Answer:
For sore throat, try Halls or Strepsils.
For a stiff neck, tell someone to massage it for you, or ask the pharmacist for cream.
