Ok so today i was sent to the hospital because i passed out at work and the physicians made me take all these different tests. Including the urine test, well anyway my results came out positive for meth! I was in shock because first of all i dont use any drugs and the nurse made it seem like “oh your a teenager you MUST be using drugs.” I dont. I took tylenol flu this morning so i'm thinking thats what it was. Is it possible for that to mess up a test like that?????

Yes - if you check the ingredients here: http://www.tylenol.ca/english/product_de… , you can see it contains phenylephrine hydrochloride, a decongestant. This can cause false positives for amphetamines and methamphetamines. It's well-known, so I'm surprised if they didn't accept that at the hospital. Do a web search for “ephedrine false positive methamphetamine”!

Yes. Sometimes cold medicine can show up? Just tell your physician the possiblity! and have him retest you for work.
