I think I might have the Stomach Virus but I’m not sure.

I dont really want any soup but would be eating this be ok:

Saltine Crackers
Raman Noodles with melted cheese in them
and
Drinking Whole Milk

If not can you tell me what would be good?
Would Hot Chocolate since it is steamy or whatever?

Thank You

Answer:
I would stay away from any dairy foods. With an upset stomach, I would eat foods that are bland. If the food is too spicey, then it would upset it even more. My recommendation is the BRAT diet

B - breads
R - rice
A - applesause
T - toast

These foods are generally ok to eat and won't upset your stomach any further.
In terms of liquids, water may be your best bet, if you want something, try sprite, but sip it slowly and see how your stomach reacts to it. Tea is the same way.

Good luck, hope you feel superior.

Answer:
If you have it, you'll want to rest until you feel superior. If you're throwing up, don't eat solid food. Instead, sip fluids, such as water, or chew on bits of ice. Also drink some type of rehydration fluid (gatorade, powerade, etc) and popsicles that contain carbohydrates and electrolytes - stuff your body can get low on when you're dehydrated from diarrhea or throwing up.

Once you stop throwing up, drink more clear foods and drinks such as warm chicken broth, popsicles, and gelatin. When you start to feel superior, try eating bland foods like toast, pretzels or crackers, bananas, and plain noodles. As your digestive system returns to normal, you can gradually go back to eating what you usually do.

But definitely stay away from any dairy products because they will irritate your stomach.

Good luck and get feeling better.

Answer:
If you're still vomiting and having diarrhea, then no food really would be good for you. You can sip clear liquids (*not* milk or hot chocolate, but more like ginger ale or Sprite) and eat Jello Gelatin (*not* pudding) and popsicles. Once your diarrhea and vomiting eases up a bit, you can nibble on saltine crackers and have Ramen Noodles (but *no* cheese). You can also have bananas, rice, applesauce, tea and toast (but *no* cheese on it) - this is called the BRATT diet, and it's the ideal way to re-introduce your system to solid foods. Once you can tolerate the BRATT diet + jello and soda for a day, you can add other foods back to your diet, including milk and cheese.

Answer:
Try not to eat you menu…..try:

Get as much rest as possible

Drink sufficient fluids to avoid dehydration….

If you are feeling nauseated….give your stomach a rest.
Don't eat or drink anything for 2 hours.
If you’re vomiting, don't eat or drink for 4 hours.

Then begin taking small sips of water and gradually work up to small amounts…1/2 a cup or less of 7-Up, ginger ale, of Jell-O. Do this for 4 to 8 hours. If you feel lile it try eating saltine crackers or dry toast.
You can also take Dramanine for nausea.

If you have a diarrhea…don't eat or drink for 4 hours. Then begin with sips of water and work up to small amounts of 7-Up, ginger-ale, Jell-O, or bouillon. Then try saltines, or dry toast.
Don't eat solid foods for 24 to 48 hours. Food will just stimulate the diarrhea.

Dairy products may also stimulaaate diarrhea. Try taking Kaopectate as directed.

Answer:
You should try to eat very lightly. Stir the fizz out of a sprite or 7UP, this acts as pediolite(the medicine parents give their kids as babies when they’ve an upset stomach or throwing up) Snack on saltine crackers, suck on ice, stay away from any dairy products such as cheese in your raman noodles and whole milk. Do not drink hot chocolate, try regular hot tea with honey in it. Try and relax also and keep your mind off of it. You should rest your stomach for about 2 days and even then you should begin out eating light.

Answer:
The crackers and Ramen noodles are fine, but the cheese and whole milk is pushing it, especially if you’ve a stomach virus.

Any kind of dairy (milk and cheese) will likely irritate your stomach more, and come right out in a form that you probably won't like, probably along with cramping.

Stick with just the soup and crackers, some toast, things like that. Drink a lot of water to stay hydrated.

Best of luck to you.

Answer:
Almost all of those are all bad choices, to be quite honest. Dairy is NEVER good during an upset stomach “virus”. There are plenty of tasty soups out there that aren't dull or sickening. Saltine crackers are great, along with pretzels, carbonated drinks (Sprite) and vitamin water. Bananas (and fruits in general) are wonderful for that too. Try not to eat solid food if you're throwing up.

Hope that helps. I know it's difficult to be that hungry and have to eat the same kinds of food, but it's smarter to stick it out now so you can eat tastier solid foods sooner than later.

**EDIT**: Tea, tea, tea!

Answer:
Avoid the milk, but the crackers and soup sound okay. Not too much cheese as dairy can upset your stomach. Try some gingerale, that always helps settle my stomach, and stick to bland foods (bread, toast, crackers, etc.) and liquids such as broth or soup until the worst is over. If you crave something try a tiny and see how your body deals with it, if it settles try a tiny more.

Answer:
No, don't eat that stuff right now. The best thing you can do is to drink chamomile tea, and if you don't have any of that in the house, then plain tea will work. If you want to eat, just eat crackers or toast. Don't put any butter or anything on the toast though, just eat it plain. The tea is the best solution. That's what I do.

Answer:
Saltine Crackers are good. Any dairy isn’t good. An alternate to milk could be something like water or gatorade. Gatorade seems to help me (the yellow kind…)
Instead of hot chocolate, drink a fruity tea or something. Try to lay off on sugar, but I suppose a little couldn't hurt you. If you feel constapated at all, drink some cranberry juice…
Ramen Noodles may be ok if you don't add the cheese or eat them constantly.
Hope I helped

Answer:
I'd state no to the milk, cheese and hot chocolate (trust me, milk is AWFUL coming up) I really like small amounts of chicken and rice or just rice cooked in broth when I'm sick, especially if the rice has been soaking in the broth a really long time so its nice and soft.

Answer:
Stick to saltines, chicken soup, dry toast, white rice, 7 UP or ginger ale, popsicles. As you begin to feel better, slowly advance your diet. Stay away from dairy and fats for a few days-will only make you feel worse. Get plenty of rest and hopefully you'll be feeling superior soon!

Answer:
dairy produces phlem.

lots of water - raman noodles would be good - crackers - if you can handle fruit that would be good.

think clear broth soups and fruit - the fruit may be tricky and lots of water - you urine should be light yellow drink water till it is.

Answer:
Dairy is somewhat iffy, but you won't know if it's ok until you try it. I wouldn't try a glass of milk, tho. Saltine crackers, toast, ramen noodles are all good choices. Go slow, though. Clear liquids and soda are good.
