I've been taking them for about a year and half, it started with just 2 then that stopped working, now i have to take 5 a night to go to sleep, but my back hurts really bad, like my kidneys, could there be something wrong?
Answer:
You overdosing every night, You need to see a physician and at least get on a sleep aid you can safely take every night. Tylenol is going to injured your liver and stomach.
until then just take benadryl, it has the same 'sleep' ingredient as tylenol pm's just without the tylenol.
Answer:
Your body has built up a tolerance to Tylenol (acetaminophen) AND Benadryl. You need to see your doctor and get on one of the new SAFE sleep medications. They’re Ambien CR, Lunesta, and Rozerem. Your body will NOT build up a tolerance to them.
Try Melatonin. It's a very safe vitamin, that people swear by. Please make an appointment with your doctor. If you don't, eventually you'll need 10 then 15 of the Tylenol PM and your liver will be shot. You superior nip it in the bud, like tomorrow. And don't forget to talk about your back pain.
Bless you and good luck. ![]()

wow. you really shouldnt be taking that many sleeping pills even if they are over the counter. you have probably become addicted to them and now you feel like you need them to sleep when really your not getting great sleep with them. Sleeping medications may put you to sleep but your rem say isnt on the level it would be if you were sleeping without the sleeping aids.. you should see a doctor if you’re really having a hard time sleeping at night with out them.. have you changed your diet to see if that could have something to do with you n ot sleeping.. i would be more cautious of your caffiene intake.. maybe try a good workout sometime in your day and Definately go see a doctor if you can. especially if your having pains..like your kidneys.. could be something wrong and your self medicating isnt making it any superior..
Answer:
You should see a physician, you have become used to the sleep aid in the drug and you are building a tolerance. Taking allot of tylenol can also cause liver damage.
Answer:
Oh yes. You have become psychologically addicted and/or immune to them. Get help before it gets out of control. And get your back checked out, too.
