I dislocated my kneecap for the fourth time on june 15nth, about 2 weeks ago. Its still really swelled and I iced it but it didnt help much. its still really swelled what should I do? im wearing an immobilizer to help it heal currently and i can walk with the immobilizer on but without it i cant really walk. When will the swelling go down?

Well did you go to the DR? You if you haven't gone there should, Otherwise elevate, rest, and ice it. Hopefully the swelling goes down. How did you injured it? Maybe you did more then dislocate it. If it hasnt healed when the DR told you it should, you should go in again. I injured my foot, they said it was a sever sprain, it wasn't healing so i went back in and they might have found something worse. You should go in because if it is something else that doesn't heal propally then you could get worse problems.

Did you get ex-rays? I know that sounds dumb but if it keeps getting dislocated it might lead to more serious problems. I would go back and have it re-checked. Best of luck.
