I’ve a mosquito bite on my arm. It has swollen really badly and there is a red patch surround the area and it has spread almost all the way up my arm. It is hard to the touch and on fire. I haave pain in my arm. I know it was a mosquito that bit me as I sae it. Is the a normal reaction to mosquitos it happens whenever I get bit.
Answer:
Go to the E.R. nearest you. You have blood poison. Might need a tetanus shot.
Answer:
some people have a more severe reaction to mosquito bites than others…..the bump, swelling and pain associated with mosquito bites are actually an allergic reaction to their “venom” (for lack of a superior word)….if this is your normal reaction to a mosquito bite, don't worry about it; it just means that you’re more allergic than others…..some kind of anti-itch cream or benadryl may help the discomfort
Answer:
wow that happens each time you get bit, thats awful, but you know what will take the red and the burning sensation out as well as the swelling….make a nice pot of tea[4 tea bags ]
hold the bag on your arm as hot as you can take it…i put heavy towel so it catches the dripping tea..and i press down as hard as i can…its the tanic acid in the tea that really helps.
hope this works[ use all the tea bags]
Answer:
thats exactly what happened to me. i got bit in the same spot on both my arms near my elbow and a red burny rash has spread over my forearm. i keep rubbing it and its only making it worse. put some itch ointment on it or something. it helped me. it might be west nile. if your a normal healthy person you most likely won't have much trouble fighting it off. ived had it before. worst days of my life.
Answer:
Don't worry, it happened to me and the doctor stated it was nothin, anyways, it could be an ant bite, if it was then go to a doctor, i dont mean the red ant, the big black one, like the size of the thumb if a baby, but make sure.! =)
Answer:
you might just have a severe reaction. I know my arms also get swollen blotchy patches whenever I get stung by a mosquito and it's horrible because I am allergic to bug repellant but I live in Florida. don't scratch and try taking some antihistamines like Benadryl
Answer:
This is absolutely abnormal. You need to tell a parent and get to the doctor immediately. You could have caught some sort of disease through the bite, and the quicker you see a physician, the better the chance of you not getting too sick.
Answer:
When I get a mosquito bite my arm only gets a small red patch, but doesn't hurt or sting when I touch it. I advocate you seeing your doctor to find out if you have an allergic skin reaction to mosquito bites.
Answer:
Maybe you're allergic to the bite. If it doesn't go away in a few weeks, you should go see a physician. If you begin feeling sick within 14 days, you might even have the West Nile virus.
Answer:
