i've been quite ill these last 3/4 days (cold, cough, sore throat and headache) and i'm finally feeling better however i've just realised that i cant really taste my food or smell it!! i'm really worried that i've done some damage to my nose when blowing it or something, but i was wondering does this happen to a lot of people when they’ve colds or not? and what should i do?
thanks
Answer:
This happens to just about everyone when they have a cold. Try to rest, eat lots of fruit, veggies, chicken soup and drink some juice. After your cold symptoms are gone, your sense of taste and smell should come back.
It's very difficult to do damage to yourself by blowing your nose, and anything that you might have injured, your body will fix.
Just rest, get some rest and eat healthy. Hope you're all superior soon!
Answer:
Last year I had a head cold that erased my sense of smell for almost a month (It did return). I was freaked out at the time, as other colds hadn’t caused this. So dont worry, apparently there are hundreds of varieties of cold viruses (that may all hit you a tiny differently). Report Abuse
