Is 2 HOURS enough time?

Author: admin

i just posted a question about how long it would take for someone to walk 6 miles. and i got 2 answers. one stated 1hr and 45min and the other said 2 hrs. im just curious cuz im meeting a friend and wanna know how much time i should leave myself.

thanks!

Answer:
The average walking speed is about 3 mph. That translates to 20 minutes per mile. 20 X 6 = 120 minutes, which is exactly 2 hours! So yes, 2 hours should be just enough time provided you are average-paced walkers!

Answer:
Sounds about right. When I go for a training run, I run a leisurely 8 minute mile pace. It takes me roughly 50 minutes to go 6 miles. My wife runs a 10 minute pace that I think about just slightly faster than walking. Assuming it takes you 15 minutes per mile, that's 4 miles per hour or 1 1/2 hours. If you go slower at 20 minutes per mile, that's 3 miles per hour and exactly 2 hours. My guess is you will fall between 15 and 20 minutes per mile on average so 1 hr and 45 minutes is a decent estimate and 2 hours should be enough provided you don't stop.

Answer:
Well, it all depends on your average speed. Most people walk at an average speed of 2-4 miles per hour. Now depending on which side of the scale you fall in, it might take you as long as 3 hours to as short as 1hr 30 min.

Answer:
walk straight to 6 miles on normal pace would require 1 hr 40 min (means u dont stop anywhere)

so 2 HOURS enough time to meeting a friend waiting 6 miles away :) hope it works for you as well

Answer:
The lady that lives next door it takes her about 3½ hours.

Answer:
I think just to be on the safe side its about 2hr and 15mins

And why would you walkk such a far distance?
