so i have these really horrible chest pains on and off and it ranges from mild to so bad that i can barely move or breathe. i do have an anxiety disorder but usually when my chest hurts i don’t feel anxious or panicked. my therapist said that maybe i feel such bad chest pains because my heart is always working overtime because i'm so tense and it actually begins to ache after a while and get sore. i mean the heart is a muscle so maybe that’s possible. i'm also physically fit, and have had these pains for about a year, but recently they've been worsening. it's nearly a sensation of being stabbed, i pressed on my chest where it injured and it throbbed even more. these pains range from sharp, intense, doubled over pains, to aching, sore, and mild pains. i also have a huge bust size, 34 DD, and maybe that contributes? i don't know, if anyone can offer educated opinions or provide me with a valid source of information i would be really grateful. thanks.

Answer:
Sounds to me like its not your heart at all, but more the muscles on the outside of your chest. If you can duplicate the feeling by pressing on your chest then it is not substernal pain. There is a condition called costochondritis and it is inflammation of the joints where the ribs meet your sternum. You should read up on it. Maybe with the size of your bust it is making the problem worse. But all of the symptoms you have fit the diagnosis of Costo..

Answer:
see a chiropractor, then a heart Dr. could be a.f.

abnormal heart rate.. so sorry, that your therapist is no good ,but she or he’s wrong! i believe.. I've been there, and do comprehend the soreness!
