okay around 2 weeks ago i yawned and my ear just popped (air went it and i could barely hear out of my right here). so i went to school and everything was fine (still couldn't hear out of it but everything was fine). When i got home i posted a Question asking how to get the air out of my ear. Some guy said “hold your nose and blow as hard as you can” so i did it (BAD IDEA) after i did it the air was gone, but my ear started paining like hell! so like, within an hour both ears were paining, both full of something (could barely hear out of them) and they injured that bad i was crying. i had to wait till the next day to get some pain pills and ear drops. i persisted to use both of them. Two weeks have passed and I’ve a little bit of pain rarely (When there’s, it isn't a lot. though sometimes it hurts but not enough to cry). But the problem is that i still can't hear out of my ears! i have tried everything! Did i injured my ears or is it just a build-up of wax?
Answer:
You must have blown really hard; you may have hurt your eardrum or middle ear. You can see a physician to have it checked. It probably isn't permanent. Sometimes having your ears rinsed out thoroughly by the doctor can help a lot.
Normally blowing into your ears is only for equalizing pressure when you descend in an airplane, and even then, you do it gently, not as hard as you can. And it's only as a last resort.

Girl, you saw what happened the last time you got advice on the internet. What makes you think that what you hear this time will be correct? Common sense would have told you not to blow your ears like that. If I had seen the question I would have told you not to do it. Too bad. Report Abuse
Answer:
You can't/won't die because of that but you can permanently damage your hearing or get an infection and ear infections can get VERY serious. So see a doctor. Seriously. I don't know why you would try to force something that will undo itself naturally. Next time just chill out. Report Abuse
Answer:
If your experience has taught you nothing else, remember this. Don't ask for medical advice from anonymous strangers. My advice would be to see your physician. I don't think you should risk your hearing on the advice of someone who isn't an expert.
