Hi all! I work as a caregiver taking care of the elderly. Well this women had a bloody nose, and I put on my gloves before I helped her stop the bleeding. Well one of my co-workers was calling me on the radio so with one hand i took off my glove to answer it (this is the part where I screwed up ya'll). Well she accidentally dropped her ice pack and I immediately went to pick it up for her with the ungloved hand. After I realized what I done I turned over my hand and blood was on my finger tips. I’ve no cuts or open wounds. Should I still get tested?

Answer:
Is she ill, or just old? If she has a communicable illness, you'd better get tested.

Be careful!

You're an angel. The caregivers of this world have the power to make a special person's last days more comfortable and happy. It's hard, hard work, but so worth it in knowing your clients went to their end peacefully.

Answer:
I don't think so.

Did you wipe it off immediately?

I think you'll be fine as long as you’ve no open wounds/cuts.
