Recently I’m having trouble going to sleep so I take some zyrctec becuase of its drowsiness effect and it works. I take the recomened douse and I only take it once before I go to sleep. I just wonder if there are any long term side effects.
Answer:
I am pretty sure you can't get Zyrtec without a prescription, which means that you can become dependent on it so it might be working now but in the future your dependence on it will cause it not to work. Try taking something not addictive. I take 6 Melatonin each night and my doctor approved that. Also you could take 2 Benedryl which is over the counter but it may cause your mouth to be dry.
Answer:
Definitely NOT a good idea.
For one your body will be building immunities against the Zyrctec, so if you ever need allergy relief you will not find it, unless you use a very stong dosage.
Two, you’re building horrible sleep patterns and habits and will need to rely on sedatives to help you sleep.
I recommend you try and mediate, not drink caffeinated items past 6 PM, drink teas like Chamomile, and other natural remedies to help you sleep.
Usually sleep problem

VERY bad habit to get into.
Try lavender or 'white noise' instead.
All sleeping pills are addictive and very bad for your health, routine and lifestyle.
