On school nights especially, when I go to bed, I’ve trouble falling asleep. I will lay in bed with my eyes closed for up to half an hour, and I was wondering if there was a way to get to sleep faster? Thanks!

Answer:
Try warm milk right before bed.

There's a vitamin called Melatonin that people swear by. Give it a try.

Do NOT nap during the day. The bed is only for sleeping at night. When you're trying to fall asleep, don't consider yourself. Think about a motion picture or Television show you watched, or a Hawaiian sunset.

If none of those work, there are new medications available by prescription. They’re Lunesta, Rozerem, and Ambien CR. I think the problem is that you're staying up late on the weekends and sleeping in late, so on Monday your schedule is all screwed up. You might have to talk to your physician about this.

Bless you and good luck! :)

Answer:
Drinking a cup of warm milk should help :) For some other people, reading before you go to sleep or listening to soft music might do the trick. It would also be best if you do lots of physical exertion during the day (like running) so you feel tired during the night, and take a nice, warm bath before going to sleep, it should relax your muscles. If you want to rest your muscles further, you can tense the muscles in your feet, keep them tensed for 10 seconds, and relax them. Then move up to your legs and do the same. Slowly go upwards until you reach your head. Doing this exercise in bed will make your feel heavier and exhausted, and you should go to sleep easier.

Answer:
Tell yourself in your head.

“Toes go to sleep”

Ankles go to sleep

Heels go to sleep

Calfs go to sleep

Thighs go to sleep

Ect ect.

This takes your mind off of other things and focuses on slowly shutting down each part of your body, I’m usually asleep before I hit my neck.

Answer:
i drink a glass of wine, it works for me
