what do you do? How do you lose weight? I need to lose 15lbs!
Answer:
You need to signal to your body that it needs to begin building itself up t instead of tearing it down. One of the things that happens in starvation mode is the body starts to burn away the muscles for energy because muscles burn energy at a lot higher rate than fat does. So it holds onto the energy reserve (fat) and gets rid of the “racing engine.”
To reverse this: begin by eating 3 healthy meals a day with lots of vegetables and some protein (at least 3 oz) at each of those meals. Also start doing some weight training three time per week. As long as you’re weight training and eating regularly, your body will keep the metabolism higher in order to fix the muscles used. Your muscles will build back up (and hopefully increase) and your engine will start to rev at a higher rate - metabolically speaking.
Answer:
i wouldnt recommend starving yourself at all, its just takes away from nutrients and energy that you body needs to keep u motivated so u can exercise and eat right.. Not eating is one of the worst things u can do, cause when u come back to eating you metabolism is slowed. i would suggest tryin to stay away from the fast foods, chips, sugar filled drinks, etc.. before u start looking for a extreme diet. this way it would be an easier transition for you. and remember you want to be healthy, not super skinny, not eating and starvation is unhealthy and ull never be able to get in shape if you dont give your body what it needs.
Answer:
try eating several (5-6) mini meals a day. having small amounts of food helps rev and keep metabolism up. incorporate exercise 3-4 times a week and you should lose weight. keep in mind these mini meals should be no more than 200-300 calories per meal.
Answer:
Generally when you go out of starvation mode, you were in it just before. And typically when you're in starvation mode, you should not lose any more weight.
There's your answer.
