I'd like for you to try a “Raw Diet” for a tiny while and see how you feel. You can watch a movie called “Supercharge Me” or go to this website for more information:
www.lovingraw.com
Raw means you can basically only have veggies, fruit, nuts, seeds, and seaweed and you can't cook anything over 180 degrees. Just one week on this diet will turn your life around and give you the energy and motivation to lose weight.
Good luck.

If money is not an issue, consider liposuction to remove up to 50 lbs of fats for a starter. The fat cells are removed permanently, so if you gain weight after the procedure, it usually won’t concentrate in the area that was treated. However, it is important to note that liposuction will not prevent you from regaining weight. To keep your new shape and new weight after liposuction, you must follow a proper diet and exercise plan.
Subsequently, the new and lighter you’ll have more energy, zest, superior well-being and motivation to continue the effort to lose more weight by changing your lifestyle, diet and exercise regime. If there's a will, there's a way but it will take you a lot of perseverance and hard work to lose that 160 lbs. You can do it so get moving !!!!
Answer:
Don't do diet pills, it's not good for you
The ideal way, is to exercise. I know, I know. You've heard that a million times… but it's the truth! Also, eating healthy and cutting out ALL the junk food! It might be hard at first to not eat chips, but you'll eat use to it.
For exercise, I'd suggest you to go running at least one hour a day. Either on a treadmill or outside for your morning run. Oh, and if you have a dog, you can walk it too
If you’ve either an option of either taking the lift or walking up/down the stairs, please select walking
Skipping rope and holla-hoop, will also help
About 30 minutes of each each day will be good enough.
Oh, and do some yoga
These won’t hurt your lower back, I believe. Good luck achieving this goal!

First of all, as you have lower back problem, I don't think doing any heavy exercises are good to you at this stage. You must make sure you won't further hurt your lower back.
Understanding that exercises can somehow make you lose weight along with your muscle becoming stronger. But with your lower back injury I therefore not advocate you any serious exercises.
As you’ve the goal to lose 160lbs, I think balanced dieting could be the appropriate way for you at this stage.
Bad eating habit is one of the causes lead to overweight. So, as soon as you can train up yourself good eating habit, your weight will be lost naturally and graduately.
More importantly, with good eating habit, you’ll be getting healthier day after day. So, when you’re used to balanced diets, you’ll have no more on-diet headache as you’re used to good eating habit already.
But no matter what methods you’re going to use, I think one thing you must have is Endurance. You must grant enough time to let your effort to turn out the effect. Don't give up easily or simple give up people won't see any good result.
Lately I have myself lost weight as well by using balanced dieting method. I did that with my teenage daughter together. We both have reached quite good result within short time. To share out our experience on this, I’ve left the detail on my blog. If you would like to know more how we did that please feel free to take a look at that. Here’s the link for you: http://hoogoodies.wordpress.com/2008/07/…
In the meanwhile, light exercise is good to you especially to your lower back. Light exercises like slow walking and Tai Chi are both very good.
Good luck!

Okay, I feel your pain, I used to weigh about 230 pounds and I got down to 160.
The thing that worked for me was changing my life. I stopped watching tv. I started waking up early and started walking. The tiny excercise from walking made me feel less hungry and I could give up junk food. I always granted my body to have as many veggies, and fruit as I wanted, and I didn't absolutely give up a piece of chocolate every day.
It sounds like you need to speak to yur doctor. Maybe they have the ability to give you Rx strength diet pills, I'm sure the negative effects would be the same as how bad all the fat surrounding your heart is doing you. Anyway the perscription strength are stronger than over the countrer durgs, which any pharmacist will tell you, really won't do you much good.
After you begin out slowly walking and trying to work your way up to an idea workout, go see a personal trainer. They’ll help you not give up.
The most important thing is to not give up. If you feel hot, tired, in pain. Stop and rest. when you feel better begin working out again. If you injured again, stop and rest. Keep resting and working out so that you don't abandon working out all together.
Also, you could look into healthy cooking classes to change how you cook for yourself. There are several Meditteranian and European style dishes that’ll taste good but be a great deal more healthy than fast foods.
And lastly, maybe you need to get into therapy or check your emotional health. Have you been the victim of some sort of emotional trauma? There could be an unconsious reason for you wanting to gain or keep your weight. If so that could have a lot to do with your eating habits. Weight gain is also a sign of depression, so if you think you could be depressed, try to find a caring therapist that will listen to you and help you. If you don't think you need a therapist, then maybe you could find a dietician.
But in all, be careful about focusing too much on weight loss. You are not your weight. Say this to yourself 20 times a day. Focus more on getting a physical activity, stay away from the TV.
You can do it! Set the level!
