I recently was taking amatriptalyne (sp is off I know lol) and if made me horridly depressed and gain 60 pounds so my physician switched me to Metoprolol. Is has been working so far besides the dizziness, but I was looking on the internet about it and it says nothing about migraines. Do they prevent it?

Answer:
I found a reference to using metoprolol for migraines. This article contains a link under “off Label uses” that gives more info. Good luck.
