Is it ok to put a dog on acidopholus? My bichon just had a round of anitbiotics.?

I asked the vet assistents and neither of them knew.

How much should I give her? She's a 12 pound bichon who's almost 2 and this is her first time having antibiotics.

I would suggest dividing the human dose by 3 or 4 and giving it to the dog 4-6 times per day for 3 days and 2-4 times a day for 2-4 weeks.

You could give her live culture yogurt instead.

It might be easier for her too.

She is very tiny, I would not give her more than maybe 1/4 of a capsule.

Just give her organic yogurt. She will like the taste better if it is flavored, maybe vanilla. It will be easier, too.
