The leaves. You can also smoke the leaf stems, but the smoke is harsher more bitter, and slightly less potent.
Salvia divinorum is the only psychoactive salvia. Garden sage and the flowering salvias, have no effect at all, when smoked.

but is it Divinorum? I doubt that it is. http://www.salviasociety.org has a ton of info, pix and videos on salvia. look it up there i also advocate their shamanic extract.
