I have tried all the remedies like honey, gurgling salt water, tea. I am also taking medicine for it. It just doesn't go away! Anyone have something different i could try? THANKS A BUNCH

Answer:
Go to the doctor to make sure you don't have Strep.

But, my personal home remedy is: Red Grapefruit Juice-hot, like tea.(Put it in a mug and heat it in a microwave) But you've got to drink it all day. It stings the throat at first, but you'll notice that one you get halfway through the carton, your throat feels better. I'm a mom of 3 w/ a husband, I CANNOT AFFORD TO GET SICK. And this remedy has saved me many times.

Answer:
if medicine doesn't work try going to the Doctor because medicines should work after a while so get it checked out

Answer:
Ok, assuming you don't have strep or anything and have already been to a doctor. If it still hasn't gone away, acupuncture can help a lot. If it is a bacterial infection the herb Goldenseal can possibly help you get rid of it. These are just general ideas however and not specific recommendations. I would have a much better idea if I had seen you in clinic. If you feel that this thing is serious, or if it is not responding to treatment, you should really see a doctor to be on the safe side.

Try eating as many garlic cloves as you can handle. This kills many things.

Or drink ginger juice (not tea) as this helps reduce inflammation. (Find it at a health food store.)

My favorite herbs when I am sick are "olive leaf" and "wild oregano oil" (not to be confused with the spice in your spaghetti sauce!) These two not only are effective against bacteria, but also viruses. Grapefruit seed is also good.

Zinc in low dosages will help your immune system. in my experience, if the zinc is going to help, you'll feel it immediately and want to keep using it for a few days.

Make sure you're not allergic to anything in your house, your heating system, etc. In fact, you might need a humidifier if you are using any form of dry heating system in the winter.

If your sore throat is being caused by drainage from your sinuses (post nasal drip) then you should take nattokinase and nettles (both good herbs for sinuses.)

Finally, eat lots of grapefruit. This was very helpful to me when I had to get rid of an ear infection that I had had for weeks - and had a deadline for a flight.

Last, but not least, keep opening yourself up to God and asking for His help. His healing power is rarely immediate, but it is noticeable.

Blessings!

Heather

Answer:
You should try sage leave extract for sore throat. Sore throat could be caused by a bacterial or viral infection of the respiratory tract. Sage extract is very effective in resolving the symptoms of sore throat. It is anti inflammatory so it helps in reduce the swelling in the throat.

Answer:
warm tamarind juice, it really works . . and it tastes good

Answer:
I used to be prone to sore throats and tonsillitis. I keep Mercuris vivus in 30x in my medicine kit at all times. It has helped immensely in my life. It's a homeopathic remedy, specific for sore, raw, aching throats. I have found Sucrets and Chloraseptic to be worthless.
