Beofore tomorrow

Its really important!

PLEASE HELP ME!

Answer:
I'm sorry that you feel bad! Try this tea to fight a cold. It is so easy to make, most people don't believe that it works, but here it is.

1) Ginger

2) Lemon juice

3) Honey

That’s it!

Why ginger, lemon and honey?

Well, you probably know that lemon is high in Vitamin C. It is also full of phytochemicals. These are plant constituents that help boost the immune system and much more.

Ginger and honey are also well documented to help the immune system. Stephen Buhner does an astonishing job of speaking about the virtues of these and other herbs in his book, Herbal Antibiotics.

It’s a real basic and approachable book that’ll blow your mind with the incredible health giving gifts of some of the most common plants. Garlic, Echinacea, astragalus, shiitake mushrooms, grapefruit seed extract and more… It’s all in there. Recipes as well.

I call this ginger tea with lemon and honey my “Special-Tea!” :)

Here’s what you do: (you might need to experiment with amounts to get the taste that suits you)

1. Fill up your teakettle and get it boiling.

2. Meanwhile, grate a one-inch piece of fresh ginger root.

3. Get a thermos out. I’ve a quart thermos I use.

4. Put the ginger in the thermos.

5. Put a dash of lemon juice in the thermos. A dash is about 4 tablespoons. Actually, it's less of a dash and more of a small splash.

6. Add a dash of honey as well. A dash in this case is about three tablespoons. Hey, a dash means something different to all of us. Basically, add the honey to taste.

7. When your water is boiled, pour it in the thermos.

8. Cover it up and let it sit for 20 minutes.

9. Strain into a tea cup and enjoy!

Alternatives:

If you lack a thermos, you can also just simmer the water in an open pan with the ginger for 15 -20 minutes as well. Add the lemon and honey to the pot AFTER you are finished simmering ginger. Just strain it into your cup. When you want more, just heat it back up. I just like the thermos because when I am sick it’s hard enough just to get up let alone heat something up.

You can vary the amounts as well. Play around so you get a flavor you really like. It tastes great!

Other things I sometimes add:

1. A few cloves of crushed garlic.

2. Cayenne powder to taste (enough to break a tiny sweat)

3. A few slices of Astragalus root (an important immune system nourisher).

4. Seaweed. Seaweed is so packed with vitamins and minerals. It’s literally super food.

5. A few dropper bottle squirts of Echinacea tincture.

I don’t add all these at once… They’re just variations I’ll use depending on the situation. I added these to show you that there are no rules to these recipes.

I use this tea every time that I start to get a cold, and it works wonders!

A few more ideas:

1. Drink lots of fresh pineapple juice or eat lots of fresh pineapple. It contains more Vitamin C than any other juice.

2. Take a Zinc/ Vitamin C lozenge. This will stop the cold in its tracks. Zicam is a very good one, and you can buy it at any drug store, including Wal Mart.

3. Use powdered ginger (1 cup) or fresh ginger root (1 grated up root). Boil in 6 cups of water for 10 minutes. Pour this into a hot bath. Soak for 15 minutes. Get out, bundle up to make yourself sweat, and get into bed. This will make you sweat out all of the impurities.

4. Using an enema would be a good idea if you have one. The more that you can evacuate your bowels, the better.

5. Look in the herbal tea section of your grocery store. Yogi teas make a 'detox' tea that will be very helpful.

6. Take an acidophilus supplement. This will boost the beneficial bacteria in your intestines, getting rid of the cold very quickly. A liquid is ideal, because it contains the most active enzymes. You can find this at health food stores, or ask for it at your pharmacy.

7. Make a strong broth of fresh chicken, garlic and onion. Eat this throughout the night and day.

8. Drink lots of water.

Whew! That should do it! Hope you feel better! Let me know if you need anything!

*This will actually get rid of the cold instead of just covering it up.. like Tylenol Cold.*

Answer:
There is no magical cure that’ll make it go away over night.

First…Stop stressing! stress depletes the immune system.

Second…Rest! make sure you chill out and get enough rest so your immune system can recharge.

Third…Vitamins/antioxidants.They’re key for overall health.

Fourth…Don't use medication.Medications mask cold symptoms..they don’t make the cold go away.

Drink plenty of OJ and skip on the junk food for a few days.

“The spirit healer” gave excellent advice.
