Oh, and how much did it cost?

Answer:
Well, there are legit herbology degrees and there are legit colleges that offer on the web courses which can earn degrees… but not all of those coincide. There are also too many illegitimate people/companies that offer you a fake degree when you pay them, so I would carefully investigate the “college” that is offering the degree (checking with the Superior Business Bureau would be a good starting point).
On the flip side, it might be easier to just contact some colleges that you know offer on the web courses for herbology and/or colleges that you know have good herbology degrees to see if they offer on the web courses.

All that being said, the timeframe for a Bachelor's degree is typically 4 years and an Associate's degree is typically 2 years, regardless of class style (in person or online), so much less than that should toss up a red flag. Some of the ones that offer shorter courses are legit and are just offering diplomas instead of degrees (which some colleges will allow you to use toward a degree in that field if you take a few more classes at their school).
The cost will absolutely vary with each school. Community Colleges offer degrees starting at just a few thousand dollars, whereas some of the major Universities cost over a hundred thousand dollars a year after all is stated and done.
For lack of a superior term, shop around and see what fits you best. Good luck!
