I have recently studied a bit on chiropractors and how important it is for you to have your spine re aligned for over all health…..I would like to go to one…but if I don't have a specific problem do you think the insurance will pay for it??

Answer:
Every policy is different. Either contact your ins co or call a Chiro and have their staff do it. If it didn't help, millions wouldn't go top them. Medicare wouldn't pay and there wouldn't be 45000 Chiro's in the US.

Usually ins only covers care required for an acute condition. like head aches, back pain etc. Unfortunately, many go and feel even better. This is because health is way more than the absence of a symptom.

Good luck!

Answer:
Usually, unless your main doctor writes a RX for you to go, most insurance will not pay for it.

Answer:
If you don't have a problem, you don't need to go to a chiropractor. As far as having your "spine aligned." It's just propaganda. Practice good posture, eat healthy, and stay fit and you should be fine.

darianna, I am so sorry your chiropractor convinced you that "adjustments every two weeks kept your spine from curving any more.

Answer:
I have a major back problem and I have used a Chiropactor for years..

In fact I have been going since I was about 12 or so! I have a slight curve to my back, and it would be worse if the chiropactor had not started an intervention when he did!!

Oh the cost for an adjustment is only about $40 and like every two weeks.. Not that bad if you ask me..

I need to call mine and make an appotment come to think about it!! What is his number??

Answer:
Do you have any back pain? I went because I had back pain. They offered me a free consultation and did all kinds of xrays and testing which told them the best way to treat me. Then they put together a plan for me. The insurance only paid a portion of it though.

Answer:
unless referred no and never heard of this problem

Answer:
been going to a chiropractor lots of years

treatment about every 5 to 8 weeks for chronic back and neck pain from auto accident. Initial treatment was several times a week. now whenever I need care.

I go to my chiropractor first for any health problem I encounter. If he cant help he refers me to appropriate md.

if you have had falls or accidents of any kind it might be a good idea to go for a check up, If none, wait until you have a need.
